Guru Ram Das Ji: Compassionate Visionary Sikh Guru

Bhai Jetha, later known as Guru Ram Das, was born into the Sodhi clan in Lahore, during a time of Mughal expansion under Akbar the Great. Ascending as Guru in 1574, he guided the Sikh community through socio-political challenges, founding Amritsar and establishing the Golden Temple as symbols of Sikh sovereignty. His hymns, integral to the Guru Granth Sahib, offered a path of unity and devotion amidst a diverse religious landscape. Advocating seva and langar, he challenged caste barriers, fostering social equality.
